week, the Tessitura community will gather for TLCC 2026, and Fandom Unpacked will be there recording live. Conferences are built around sessions, speakers, and new ideas. But often, the most valuable part is the community that forms around all of it, the people you meet, the conversations that continue, and the support that lasts long after everyone heads home.

Thinking about that brought me back to our conversation with Andrew Recinos, president and CEO of Tessitura. Andrew was talking about the forums, user groups, affinity groups, and other spaces where Tessitura members support one another. Then he summed up why that community matters.

You won't find a friendlier group of people if you've never waded into that water, right? We have user group communities for finance, for box office, for development, for museums, for zoos. And we have affinity groups, right? We have people of color, we have neurodiversity. This is always curious to me because none of this has to do with software, and yet all of it has to do with lifting up arts and culture professionals and making sure that they can do that work to bring arts and culture to all of our communities.
